Risk and Foresight Group
The Risk and Foresight Group at CSIS provides leaders in government and business with insights into the forces of change reshaping the global environment, from shifting demographics to emerging technologies.
The Risk and Foresight Group is charged with focusing CSIS’s cross-cutting analysis in mid- to long-term futures (2030 to 2050 and beyond), as well as innovative use of foresight methodologies such as data analysis, modeling, simulation, and gaming.
The Group delivers its findings in ways that are immediately useful in helping strategists and decisionmakers navigate global risks and identify emerging opportunities.
The Risk and Foresight Group is organized around two ongoing, core research initiatives:
- Global political risk monitoring draws from the ongoing research and expertise of regional and functional scholars across CSIS to track and assess the most consequential developments.
- Seven Revolutions is an ongoing research effort to identify and analyze the most important global macro trends shaping our world out to the year 2035.
