Victoria DeSimone is program manager of the Open Dialogue Initiative (ODI) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In this role, Ms. DeSimone helps lead the Diversity and Leadership in International Affairs Project, which focuses on improving diversity and inclusion within CSIS and in other national security and foreign policy agencies. She also works to expand CSIS’s audience beyond the beltway. Prior to her role with ODI, has worked with the Smart Women, Smart Power Initiative at CSIS. In this role, Ms. DeSimone coordinated events, podcasts, and outreach for the International Security Program. Previously, she worked at the Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction at the National Defense University and the Voice of America, where she worked on projects related to counterterrorism. Ms. DeSimone holds an M.A. in U.S. foreign policy and national security from American University and a B.S. from Florida State University in criminology, psychology, and history.
