Christopher Metzger is the program coordinator and research assistant for the Project on Prosperity and Development (PPD) and the Project on U.S. Leadership in Development (USLD) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He organizes all public and private events hosted by the programs, including the annual Global Development Forum. He supports PPD and USLD’s research and publications focused on soft power, leveraging the private sector for development, and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Before becoming program coordinator in February 2017, he worked as an intern in the PPD and USLD programs, as well as in a U.S. Senate office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in global politics from Washington and Lee University and studied at the University of London and Syracuse University’s campus in Florence, Italy.
